Joe Shannon is a 22 year veteran Sales & Marketing professional with degrees from Texas A&M and Southern Methodist University. From all facets of technology including: semiconductors, software, photonics and hardware he has served most, if not all, of the Top 20 technology companies worldwide. Most recently serving as Executive Vice President, he was responsible for territories in Europe and Asia with extensive time in the Middle East. Mr. Shannon successfully engaged with Sr. level executives and consistently enabled the companies he worked for to become well established providers earning him numerous awards during the process. He works diligently to build rapport and works tirelessly in ensuring that trust is paramount.
During the past decade Mr. Shannon embarked on a new profession building some of Dallas, Texas’ finest custom homes. This has allowed him the freedom and time to spend more time in philanthropic endeavors. For example, in 2001 he co-founded GenX, an organization focused on raising financial support for Children’s Advocacy centers. He has enjoyed trips to Africa working at orphanages and has been heavily involved in local efforts at Dallas area food banks.
Mr. Shannon’s most recent focus has been on diabetes management programs geared around treating this disease. For the past year he has worked with Corporate Health Strategies, LLC in helping state and local municipalities, as well as Fortune 500 Corporations, to establish their diabetes management programs. He has become passionate about this disease as it is quite simply a treatable disease that is “overlooked and not given the attention it should.”
